In light of the Provincial Grand Master’s directive to do more for the good causes in the community, W.Bro Christopher Jackson and  W.Bro Ian N.E. Lewis (Asst. PGM Area 5) met with the Mayor of Wakefield, Councillor David Jones to discuss if there are opportunities for the Freemasons to work collaboratively with the council. Needless to say, it was a very productive first meeting. The hope is that the Mayor can help us identify worthy causes to support across Wakefield and the five towns area.

​On 17th October 2022, W.Bro Christian S. E. Powell took over the chair of King Solomon and was installed as the new Worshipful Master of the Lodge. W.Bro Chris will be the 147th Master of the Lodge.

The evening was graced not by one, but two Grand Officers, W.Bro. Ian N.E. Lewis PSGD. AProvGM and W.Bro. Clive Hawkins PAGDC. PPSGW, the Personal Representative of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master. The ceremony was led the W.Bro Martyn Clift as the Installing Master who did a tremendous job conducting the evening.
 
The Festive Board was well attended with 14 visitors from different lodges across the Province. Hearty congratulations were given by the brethren to the Worshipful Master and he thanked all the brethren who attended for their kind words.
